The Role
We’re seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this position, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement mechanical components of our integrated automation systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical components and assemblies for custom automation systems
- Create detailed drawings and specifications using CAD software
- Perform engineering calculations and analysis to validate designs
- Collaborate with electrical, and controls engineers on integrated solutions
- Serve as project leader in some instances
- Support equipment installation and commissioning at client sites
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues during testing and implementation
- Document designs, modifications, and technical specifications
- Participate in client meetings to understand requirements and present solutions
Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 0-5 years of professional experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, or related field
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and hands-on skills
- Excellent communication abilities and teamwork orientation
- Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site installation support (approximately 20%)
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Familiarity with conveyors and industrial automation equipment
- Experience with pneumatic systems
- Knowledge of PLC systems and controls integration
- Experience with robotic systems (Fanuc, ABB)
- Understanding of machine safety standards
